The Chief of Staff is a high-visibility, strategic partner supporting the General Manager North America and the senior leadership team by managing priorities, overseeing staff and internal operations, and leading key initiatives. This role involves supporting the GM with strategic planning, preparation, and management of senior meetings, and developing organizational and communication frameworks to implement the commercial vision and ensure organizational growth and success.

As a leadership team member, this role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet organizational needs, driving improvements in collaboration, communication, and organizational maturity. The Chief of Staff anticipates issues, analyzes strategic, business, and operational challenges, formulates solutions, and ensures the progress of key projects and initiatives, focusing on:

Essential Functions:

  • Act as an advisor and extension of the GM North America and leadership teams
  • Support the GM with strategic initiatives and decision-making
  • Manage meeting agendas, minutes, and action items
  • Create and support presentations for various leadership and board meetings
  • Coordinate communication between the GM and other executives and stakeholders
  • Collaborate on performance goals and operational plans
  • Identify and facilitate resolution of cross-departmental issues
  • Coordinate with various internal teams and external partners
  • Support communication and rollout of organizational models and initiatives
  • Drive internal communication and organizational culture initiatives
  • Oversee leadership events and organizational development activities
  • Lead operational improvements and establish best practices
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting and financial planning
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and other functions on engagement and development programs
  • Review and manage organizational calendars and priorities

Education and Experience:

Degree in science, business, engineering, or related field with at least 10 years’ experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or related industries. Extensive cross-functional management experience in commercial operations and project management is required. Experience in global commercial, medical, or alliance management is a plus. Proven leadership in strategic and operational initiatives within the biotech or pharma industry is essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Individual contributor with matrix leadership responsibilities
  • Supervision of the Executive Assistant to GM North America

Travel: 30-50%

Salary Range: $189,300 - $259,300 annually. Compensation is based on skills, experience, education, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, life insurance, PTO, wellness programs, and stock options.
