Job summary

Qualifications

  • At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in event production.
  • Experience directing on-site logistics, vendor services, and event-day production needs.
  • Experience supervising staff, workload planning, and performance feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with senior-level campus partners.
  • Experience managing production schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and vendors.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds or more and willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and production leadership for high-visibility university events, including donor events and ceremonial programs.
  • Oversee technical timelines, production schedules, budgets, task lists, approvals, and vendor deliverables.
  • Build relationships with UEE colleagues, campus stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Assess event goals and venue conditions to recommend scalable AV, staging, lighting, sound, recording, livestream solutions.
  • Direct audiovisual services, production crews, staffing plans, and on-site support for events.
  • Lead on-site execution, including load-in, rehearsals, cueing, and strike.
  • Coach and develop interns and production staff; plan staffing and workload.
  • Lead post-event reconciliation: budgets, production files, invoices, and lessons learned.
