Job summary

Office of Financial Management (OFM) is seeking a Business Transformation Director to lead the One Washington Program’s functional transformation, ensuring the Workday ERP and future‑state processes align with enterprise needs for Washington state government.

The role requires strategic leadership across finance, budget, procurement, HR, payroll, and other functions, coordinating with agency readiness and program leaders to deliver sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Directing complex, multi‑phase transformation initiatives with multiple partners.
• Translating requirements into actionable transformation strategies and decisions.
• Experience with enterprise transformation in large public sector or multi‑agency environments.
• Leading teams, setting priorities, and developing staff capabilities.
• Managing stakeholder engagement with executive leaders and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for functional transformation workstreams.
• Lead development and execution of transformation strategies aligning with enterprise needs.
• Establish governance processes for design and implementation decisions.
• Guide functional design and collaboration with systems integrators and vendors.
• Oversee program leadership, governance, and external oversight activities.
• Ensure continuous improvement and accountability across transformation efforts.
