Sr. Director, Enterprise Data – Job Description
The Sr. Director, Enterprise Data is responsible for defining and executing the organization's enterprise data strategy, ensuring data integrity, governance, and accessibility across all business functions. This role leads data engineering, data governance, and data analytics teams, overseeing data architecture, warehousing, and integration initiatives. This leader will work closely with other leaders across all business units and functions, including our Product and Innovation team to support and implement high-quality, data-driven products and internal solutions.
Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise data strategy, aligning with business goals and IT modernization initiatives
- Lead the design and management of enterprise data architecture, warehousing, and integration strategies
- Advocate for data-driven decision-making, fostering a data-centric culture across the organization
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management, analytics, and AI/ML applications
Data Engineering & Infrastructure
- Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable, high-performance data platforms in a cloud-based environment
- Ensure efficient data pipelines, ETL processes, and integrations to support real-time and batch data processing
- Partner with DevOps and CloudOps teams to optimize cloud-based data storage, processing, and security
- Manage data modeling and metadata management for structured and unstructured data
Data Governance, Compliance & Security
- Establish and enforce enterprise data governance policies, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PCI, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.) through robust data governance frameworks
- Work closely with cybersecurity and compliance teams to define and enforce data access controls, encryption, and privacy measures
- Oversee master data management (MDM) and data stewardship programs
Business Intelligence & Analytics Enablement
- Partner with business units to enable self-service analytics and BI capabilities
- Drive improvements in data visualization, reporting, and advanced analytics through modern tools (e.g., Databricks, Power BI)
- Drive AI/ML initiatives by providing a robust data foundation for predictive analytics and automation
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead people leaders who lead teams of data engineers, data scientists, data architects, data governance specialists, and BI analysts
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration within the data team
- Develop and manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments related to enterprise data solutions
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years of experience working in data analytics, enterprise data management, data engineering, or related fields
- 7+ years of increasing leadership experience leading teams in delivery of data solutions at an enterprise level
- Experience developing data and data analytics strategies and roadmaps working in partnership with organizational and technology leaders
- Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)
- Extensive experience with ETL, ELT, data lakes, and real-time data processing
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and analytics platforms
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven leadership in designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Pay Range
USD $190,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.
