KPMG is seeking a Senior Director, Enterprise Architect to join our Digital Nexus organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of architects specializing in AI, Data, Integration, Security, and Core technologies to support the secure foundations of KPMG's enterprise technologies.
- Drive organizational transformation by researching and defining technical strategies for secure enterprise solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, enhance capabilities, mitigate risks, and bolster security.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures and patterns for strategic technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise goals.
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of roadmaps, including product selection, product rationalizations, versions, upgrades, projects, and milestones.
- Evaluate demands in the early stages of projects to determine the appropriate software, integration technologies, system architectures, and patterns to meet business objectives efficiently. This may involve single solution evaluations or matrixed evaluations of multiple solutions through research, proof of concept, or scoped testing.
- Collaborate with project and domain teams to assist in the delivery of technology solutions by providing guidance to application, engineering, and operations teams as needed.
- Partner with senior leadership to align enterprise architecture strategies with business objectives and ensure the secure foundations of KPMG's technologies are maintained and evolved.
Qualifications:
- Minimum ten years of recent IT Architecture experience with a focus on secure enterprise technologies, supporting a SaaS and platform-centric strategy and implementation cycle with the ability to integrate in support of an enterprise.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team of architects.
- Proficiency in extending platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce, and/or Power platforms to support best-in-class desktop and mobile experiences. Knowledge of mobile technologies, mobile architecture options (Native, Hybrid, Web), and mobile design best practices for authentication, Single Sign-On, data handling, encryption of data at rest, performance, and user experience with general understanding of SDLC methodologies (waterfall, agile). Background in development/application architecture preferred.
- General understanding of operating system models (Linux, Windows), hardware architectures, distributed computing architectures, storage technology (SAN/NAS/DAS), server virtualization, memory management, networking, system maintenance, disaster recovery, database failover models, database theory and design, Security/Identity Management (Okta, AD), authentication and authorization (Kerberos, Tivoli), Business Intelligence platforms, dashboards, data mining and visualization tools (Power BI, QlikView), mobile application development, and service integration.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by client service and teamwork. Must be able to set goals, participate in strategic initiatives, foster high-performance teams, and interface with all organization levels. Ability to contribute to resource planning and influence organizational priorities.
