Orion Steel Group LLC seeks a Senior Director, Engineering to provide strategic leadership across steel recycling, scrap processing, metals recovery, and manufacturing facilities in the US and Canada. You will steer engineering strategy, capital planning, and major projects, driving safety, reliability, asset optimization, and profitability, while building partnerships with operations, finance, and EHS.

The role requires an MBA or related field, P.Eng/PE and PMP certifications, 15+ years in

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in MBA, Engineering Management, Project Management, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng./PE) and PMP or related certification.
• 15+ years of progressive project, program, or portfolio management experience.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing PMO teams or large project portfolios.
• Strong financial acumen with ROI, NPV, IRR, payback analysis, and capital budgeting principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Canada and USA Recycling engineering and capital investment strategy.
• Lead the annual and long-range capital planning process to align with corporate objectives.
• Direct major capital projects from concept through commissioning, delivering on-time and within budget.
• Provide strategic leadership to engineering, project management, and technical teams.
• Drive asset reliability, equipment performance, and infrastructure improvements to increase productivity.
• Establish engineering standards and governance, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
