Job summary

Fitch Group’s Energy and Power, Corporate, Infrastructure and Project Finance Group in North America seeks a Senior Director based out of Chicago, with possibilities in New York or Toronto, reporting to the Head of Energy and Power. The role focuses on leading ratings analysis of energy and power infrastructure projects in the US and Canada.

We look for 10+ years in project finance, strong modelling, leadership and the ability to mentor others.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project finance experience in energy and power infrastructure.
• Experience in bank credit, a rating agency, or buy-side credit.
• Strong writing and verbal communication.
• Open mind to evolving infrastructure opportunities and risks.
• Excellent financial modelling skills with spreadsheet-based models.
• Ability to read complex legal documents and question issuers/advisors.
• Proven ability to lead multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Employee management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead ratings analysis, execution and research on North American transactions.
• Evaluate innovative credit structures and contribute to global criteria development.
• Identify trends, assess credit impact and present in industry reports/presentations.
• Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and legal documents for ratings and reports.
• Represent Fitch professionally at industry conferences, webinars, issuer meetings and site visits.
• Develop and grow relationships with other analytical groups to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Mentor junior members of the Energy and Power Infrastructure team.
