Job summary

The Wallace Foundation in New York seeks a senior leader to manage its endowment investments. The Managing Director of Investments will shape asset allocation, oversee due diligence on managers, and drive risk management across all asset classes in a team-focused environment.

The role reports to the CIO and interacts with the Investment Committee and Board, offering leadership of a high-caliber investment team within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Ten to fifteen years relevant experience in institutional endowment management, including asset allocation strategy development.
• Experience managing staff and fostering professional development.
• MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset allocation strategy with CIO to set direction for the endowment.
• Lead risk management and ODD across all asset classes, supervising the Investment Associate.
• Contribute to Investment Due Diligence on current and prospective managers.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
