Job summary

MGT Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Director, Employee Relations and Compliance to lead enterprise-wide ER and employment compliance programs. WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Senior Director, EmployeeRelationsand Compliance, you will provide strategic leadership for MGT's enterprise-wide employee relations and employment compliance programs. Reporting to the SVP, HR Services, you will serve as a senior resource for employee relations, workplace investigations, and employment compliance while helping develop the team's capabilities.

This role is ideal for a leader who combines sound judgment, strong business acumen, and deep employee relationsexpertisewith broad employment compliance knowledge and experience developing teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable advising senior leaders and executives, supporting scalable programs, and helping the organization navigate growth and change.

Enterprise Employee Relations Leadership

  • Lead MGT's enterprise-wide employee relations strategy and operating model.
  • Serve as the senior advisor and escalation point for complex and sensitive employee matters, investigations, workplace concerns, accommodations, performance management issues, and employment decisions.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to address workforce challenges, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and support a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Identifyand analyze employee relations trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Promote consistent, fair, and values-based decision-making across all levels of the organization.

Workplace Investigations and Policy Leadership

  • Oversee enterprise workplace investigations, ensuring thorough, objective, and consistent practices.
  • Establish standards, protocols, and governance processes that reinforce fairness, transparency, and compliance.
  • Lead the development and ongoing evolution of workplace policies, employee conduct standards, and employee relations practices.
  • Ensure employee concerns are addressed with professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to maintainingtrust throughout the organization.

Compliance, Governance, and Risk Management

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for MGT's employment compliance programs across a geographically dispersed, multi-state workforce.
  • Apply strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment requirements and support organizational readiness for evolving regulations.
  • Help translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable business processes and peoplepractices.
  • Guide the development of governance frameworks, controls, monitoring processes, documentation standards, and remediation approaches that strengthen accountability and reduce organizational risk.
  • Coordinate and support employment-related compliance reviews, assessments, audits, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Internal Audit, and executive leadership to proactivelyidentifyand mitigate organizational risk.
  • Help establish metrics and reporting that provide visibility into compliance trends, risks, remediation efforts, and program effectiveness.

Team Leadership and Capability Building

  • Lead and develop the Employee Relations and Compliance team, supporting strong performance and continued growth.
  • Set direction and clarify priorities, service expectations, and development opportunities for the team.
  • Work through managers and senior practitioners as appropriate while remaining available to support complex and sensitive matters.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach leaders and strengthen manager effectiveness in handling employee matters.
  • Support succession planning and capability building for the function.
  • Develop tools, resources, and training that enable scalable support across a growing enterprise.

Growth, Transformation, and Integration

  • Lead employee relations and compliance efforts associated with acquisitions, integrations, organizational redesigns, and workforce transitions.
  • Develop repeatable frameworks and playbooks that support sustainable growth and organizational scalability.
  • Partner with business leaders to navigate change while preserving employee engagement and minimizing organizational risk.
  • Support enterprise transformation initiatives by aligning employee relations and compliance strategies with broader business objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degreerequired; advanced degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business Administration, JD, or relatedfield preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, Employment Compliance, Labor Relations, Employment Law, Human Resources, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise employee relations and compliance functions within large, complex, and rapidly evolving organizations.
  • Significant experience managing workplace investigations and advising on high-risk employee matters.
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence executive leaders and drive organizational outcomes through trusted partnerships and sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing Employee Relations, Compliance, or related HR professionals.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance employee experience, compliance requirements, and organizational objectives.
