Rockville is seeking a Senior Director, Ecommerce Logistics & Warehouse Operations to lead the operational backbone of our fast-growing ecommerce business. This is a senior, hands-on role reporting to the CEO, requiring deep ecommerce operations expertise and the ability to scale high-SKU warehouse and fulfillment environments.

Position Snapshot

• Job Title: Senior Director, Ecommerce Logistics & Warehouse Operations
• Location: Inwood, NY, directly across the Queens border from Far Rockaway and minutes from the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue A train terminal. Minutes from JFK Airport.
• Compensation: $140,000-$175,000 per year, based on directly relevant experience and skills

Rockville is seeking a Senior Director, Ecommerce Logistics & Warehouse Operations to lead the operational backbone of our fast-growing ecommerce business.

This is a senior, hands-on operations leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. The right person has deep ecommerce operations experience, has led high-SKU warehouse and fulfillment environments, and knows how to manage the full flow of physical product through receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, returns, marketplace fulfillment, 3PL coordination, systems, reporting, and team performance.

This is not a corporate strategy-only role. We need a strong operator who can walk the floor, understand the data, identify bottlenecks, improve processes, hold managers accountable, build KPI discipline, and turn operational complexity into a cleaner, faster, more accurate, and more scalable operation.

Rockville is an online retailer specializing in high-quality audio equipment across multiple categories, including car audio, marine audio, pro audio, DJ equipment, recording equipment, lighting, speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, microphones, mixers, monitors, accessories, components, and related products. Our warehouse supports a high-SKU ecommerce environment with small, medium, and larger boxed products moving through multiple channels, including our direct-to-consumer website, Amazon, marketplace channels, and distribution.

What Makes This Role Stand Out

• Direct ownership: Own responsibility for warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, inventory, returns, marketplace fulfillment, 3PL management, systems, and operational performance.
• End-to-end ecommerce operations scope: Lead the daily execution behind product availability, order flow, inventory accuracy, fulfillment speed, returns processing, customer outcomes, and operational scalability.
• High-SKU ecommerce complexity: Manage thousands of SKUs across a wide range of audio, electronics, accessories, components, boxed products, speakers, monitors, and related equipment.
• Marketplace and DTC fulfillment focus: Help maintain strong fulfillment performance across direct-to-consumer, Amazon, FBA, Seller Fulfilled Prime, and other marketplace or distribution channels.
• Systems and reporting impact: Use SellerCloud, Skustack, Descartes systems, WMS/ERP/TMS tools, Excel, dashboards, and operational reporting to give leadership clear visibility into performance.
• Real authority to improve: Assess what is working, fix what is not, raise standards, improve processes and workflows, and build accountability across the operation.

What You’ll Own

• Lead daily performance across warehouse operations, receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, returns, RTV, FBA, Seller Fulfilled Prime standards, 3PL coordination, and related operational functions.
• Manage and develop operational managers, leads, and a warehouse/returns team of approximately 25 employees.
• Improve order flow, pick paths, pick density, replenishment flow, receiving flow, packing flow, shipping flow, returns flow, labor productivity, cleanliness, safety, inventory accessibility, and space utilization.
• Maintain strong standards for inventory accuracy, location integrity, stock availability, bin maintenance, cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and product movement across warehouse and fulfillment channels.
• Optimize warehouse layout, slotting, rack strategy, pallet positions, pick locations, storage logic, product organization, and replenishment discipline.
• Support efficient handling of high-SKU, multi-item, multi-package, kit, accessory, component, and boxed-product order profiles.
• Build KPI dashboards and scorecards for order volume, units per hour, pick accuracy, ship speed, receiving accuracy, inventory accuracy, returns processing, labor productivity, stockouts, overstock, shipping cost, FBA/RTV performance, and operational exceptions.
• Use SellerCloud, Skustack, Descartes systems, WMS/ERP/TMS platforms, Excel, and reporting tools to analyze operational data and turn it into practical decisions.
• Lead or support warehouse redesign, re-slotting, rack buildout, facility improvement, workflow redesign, labor planning, process improvement, and operational scaling projects.
• Partner with Purchasing, Finance, Ecommerce, Customer Experience, Technical Support, Product, HR, and leadership to improve inventory flow, fulfillment performance, staffing, scheduling, accountability, and customer outcomes.
• Lead 3PL accountability and management, including inventory visibility, order routing, fulfillment performance, service levels, data accuracy, cost control, issue resolution, and operational follow-through.
• Maintain accountability for Amazon and marketplace fulfillment requirements, including FBA, Seller Fulfilled Prime, Seller Central, Buy Shipping, tracking, on-time shipping, and related operational metrics.
• Establish SOPs, daily management rhythms, KPI reviews, manager accountability, productivity expectations, safety standards, and performance expectations across the operations team.
• Maintain working knowledge of warehouse equipment and facility needs, including conveyors, dock doors, forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, racking, shipping stations, and related equipment.
• Oversee the success of Customer Experience and Technical Support teams where post-sale issues connect to fulfillment, returns, shipping, product condition, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Work with leadership to monitor customer feedback, marketplace feedback, support trends, return reasons, fulfillment issues, and process gaps that affect customer experience.

First 90 Days

In the first 90 days, this leader will be expected to quickly understand the current operation, build trust with managers and frontline teams, absorb key areas of operational oversight from senior leadership, assess the warehouse and logistics environment, identify immediate improvement opportunities, establish KPI discipline, tighten workflows, improve management accountability, and help prepare the business for continued operational scale.

The right person should bring enough experience, judgment, and confidence to operate independently while still being practical enough to work directly with the team, observe the floor, understand the systems, and solve real operational problems.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a senior ecommerce operations leader who has:

• 10-15+ years of logistics, warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, supply chain, or operations leadership experience
• Deep ecommerce, direct-to-consumer, marketplace, or high-volume fulfillment experience
• Experience managing high-SKU environments with at least 5,000 SKUs or similarly complex product catalogs
• Experience with physical product operations involving electronics, audio equipment, accessories, components, boxed goods, automotive products, marine products, tools, equipment, hardware, parts, appliances, sporting goods, or similar mixed-size product categories
• Strong understanding of inventory accuracy, receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, RTV, warehouse flow, and fulfillment execution
• Hands-on experience improving warehouse workflows, pick paths, pick density, slotting, replenishment, inventory accuracy, labor productivity, and space utilization
• Experience overseeing managers, supervisors, leads, and frontline warehouse teams
• Strong systems and reporting capability using SellerCloud, Skustack, Descartes, WMS, ERP, TMS, Excel, dashboards, BI tools, or similar platforms
• Experience building KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and operational reports for senior leadership
• Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement, or similar operating philosophies
• Strong people management, performance management, accountability, coaching, and change management experience
• Comfort working with a highly involved owner while bringing expertise, confidence, urgency, maturity, and independent judgment

Strongly Preferred

• Experience in pro audio, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, marine electronics, audio equipment, tools, equipment, appliances, accessories, components, hardware, sporting goods, or similar physical product categories
• Experience in a high-SKU ecommerce warehouse, fulfillment center, distribution center, marketplace operation, or direct-to-consumer physical product business
• Experience leading a warehouse redesign, re-slotting project, rack buildout, facility move, new warehouse launch, process improvement initiative, or major fulfillment transformation
• Experience with Amazon FBA, Seller Fulfilled Prime/SFP, Seller Central, Buy Shipping, marketplace fulfillment requirements, and Amazon performance metrics
• Experience improving returns operations, repair/rework flow, RTV, receiving accuracy, inventory accuracy, stock availability, and backlog reduction
• Experience managing 3PL relationships, inventory allocation, fulfillment performance, service levels, cost issues, and operational follow-through
• Experience with inbound freight, receiving, vendor coordination, international logistics, customs, factories, freight forwarders, or China-based product flow a plus
• General/basic knowledge of warehouse equipment and facility needs, including conveyors, forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, dock doors, racking, and related equipment
• Experience with customer service, technical support, or post-sale customer operations connected to fulfillment, returns, shipping, product condition, and customer outcomes
• Ability to commute within approximately 45 minutes of 600 Bayview Ave, Inwood, NY
• Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish a plus

We are not looking for someone who only manages logistics from a desk. We are not looking for someone whose experience is limited to corporate supply chain planning without direct warehouse, fulfillment, inventory returns, and team leadership ownership.

We are also not looking for someone who has only worked in apparel, food, grocery, or small-item ecommerce unless they also have meaningful experience with high-SKU, mixed-size, boxed physical products and warehouse operations complexity.

We are looking for a leader who wants to own the operation, improve the operation, and be accountable for the results.
