Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC in Columbus, OH seeks a Special Credits Director to lead a team focused on stressed credits within Commercial Solutions. You will guide strategies, negotiations, and restructuring to improve portfolio quality and recovery.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with banking teams, borrowers, and advisors, and ensure compliance with OCC requirements and bank policies. Strong leadership and deep credit expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field.
• 10+ years’ commercial banking / lending experience including extensive commercial credit experience.
• Commercial banking / asset-based lending/automotive captive experience, with thorough knowledge of accounting and financial statement analysis.
• Superior analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Thorough knowledge of the Bank's policies and procedures, as well as its products and their inherent risks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Recognized leadership capacities and executive presence.
• Experience in supervision of employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Special Credits Officers who formulate strategies and present recommendations on distressed situations.
• Interface with banking team, borrowers, financial advisors, and outside counsel to optimize repayment exposure.
• Demonstrate understanding of workout process, client engagement, negotiation strategies, and reporting per bank OCC requirements.
• Own the Credit Surveillance process, accounting and regulatory reporting on portfolio names, including reserving and charge-off analysis.
• Collaborate and build partnerships across the organization.
• Mentor, coach, and train the Special Credits team.
