Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Special Credits Director within the Special Credits Group to manage a portfolio of stressed and distressed borrowers, focusing on risk management and maximizing recovery through early intervention and financial restructuring.

You will partner across functions, lines of business and external stakeholders to develop and execute restructuring and recovery strategies while preserving key client relationships.

Qualifications

• 7 years experience in Corporate Credit Risk Management and/or Leveraged Finance.
• Restructuring experience or leveraged finance structuring experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management, lenders, advisors and counsel to develop and execute solutions for repayment and recovery while preserving client relationships.
• Support internal transaction teams on amendments, waivers, and restructurings; coordinate with Payments and Operations partners to mitigate settlement risk.
• Contribute to credit decisioning in active stressed/distressed situations, including advisory engagements.
• Prepare quarterly credit surveillance updates and support accounting and regulatory reporting for portfolio exposures.
• Develop exposure management strategies, evaluate loan sale opportunities, and propose trading/disposition strategies.
