Job summary

Fairygodboss in Columbus, OH seeks a Special Credits Director to lead a team handling distressed dealer credits and optimize portfolio quality. You will guide workouts, negotiate recoveries, and ensure compliance with policy and OCC requirements.

You will mentor a team, coordinate with banking partners and outside counsel, and oversee reporting, valuations, and risk management to maximize recoveries across Commercial Solutions loans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field.
• 10+ years’ commercial banking / lending experience.
• Experience in asset-based lending and automotive captive finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of bank policies and procedures and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Special Credits Officers and present recommendations to management.
• Interface with banking teams, borrowers, and advisors to resolve credit exposure.
• Demonstrate expertise in workout processes, negotiations, and reporting.
• Own credit surveillance, reserving, charge-off analysis, and forecasting.
• Mentor staff and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
