We are seeking a visionary Senior Director of Digital Marketing to lead CJP’s digital transformation and drive data-driven marketing excellence across all digital channels. This strategic leadership role will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive digital marketing strategies that advance our mission while maximizing engagement, conversion, and donor acquisition. The successful candidate will lead a team of content strategists, channel experts, and marketing technology experts while partnering closely with IT, leadership, and other key stakeholders to deliver measurable impact.
Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation
- Lead the delivery of a re-envisioned digital marketing approach establishing scalable processes, systems, and team structures
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with organizational mission and growth objectives
- Champion data-driven decision making across all marketing initiatives, establishing KPIs and performance benchmarks
- Present strategic recommendations and performance insights to senior leadership and board members
- Lead research and thought leadership on modern approaches, including AI
Analytics & Performance Management
- Lead comprehensive, aligned analytics strategy across all digital channels, ensuring accurate measurement and actionable insights
- Establish attribution models and conversion tracking to optimize the complete digital user journey
- Lead regular performance analysis of email marketing, website, social media, and other digital channels
- Bring your expertise to a collaborative process to establish executive-level dashboards and reporting to demonstrate ROI and impact on mission-critical metrics
- Use data insights to continuously optimize campaigns, user experience, and conversion funnels
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor a team of content strategists, channel marketing experts, and marketing technology experts
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, data-driven decision making, and continuous learning within the digital marketing team
- Establish clear performance expectations and professional development pathways for team members
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
Channel Strategy & Optimization Oversight
- Oversee multi-channel digital marketing strategy including email marketing, website optimization, social media, and emerging digital platforms
- Ensure cohesive user experience and messaging across all digital touchpoints
- Drive conversion rate optimization initiatives across web properties and campaign landing pages
- Lead A/B testing and experimentation programs to continuously improve channel performance
Marketing Technology & Operations Oversight
- Oversee team that partners with technology to evaluate, implement, and optimize marketing technology stack
- Support technology efforts including CRM integration, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools
- Manage or oversee vendor relationships for marketing technology, agencies, and digital service providers
- Partner with technology team to ensure data privacy compliance and security protocols across all digital marketing activities
Content Strategy Oversight
- Oversee content strategy development to support digital marketing objectives and user journey optimization
- Oversee content alignment with brand voice, mission values, and audience segmentation strategies
- Oversee collaboration with creative teams to develop high-performing content across channels
- Implement content performance measurement and optimization processes
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with senior leadership, board members, and major donors
- Communicate digital marketing performance and strategic recommendations to diverse stakeholder groups
- Foster a team culture of collaboration with program teams to align digital marketing with organizational initiatives
- Represent CJP at industry events and conferences as needed

Education:
- MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
Experience:
- 10+ years of digital marketing experience with at least four years in senior leadership roles
- Proven track record of leading successful digital transformations and scaling marketing operations
- Deep expertise in marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and performance measurement
- Extensive experience with marketing technology stack management and optimization
- Strong background in multi-channel digital marketing including email, web, social, and paid media
Skills/Competencies:
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics etc.)
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, and user experience principles
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with content management systems and web optimization tools
Leadership & Communication
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing marketing teams
- Excellent presentation skills with experience communicating to C-level executives and board members
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience managing vendor relationships and external partnerships
