Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience in production systems.
• Background in Risk Technology (exposure management, scenario analysis, limits).
• Deep Python expertise and microservices architecture.
• Experience building AWS-native systems (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Terraform).
• Strong architectural thinking with clean interfaces and service boundaries.
• Leadership of small teams; player-coach mentality preferred.
• Excellent communication with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of application development starting with Central Risk and expanding firmwide.
• Architect a cloud-native microservices platform with modularity, scalability, and deployment.
• Own and modernize legacy applications, ensuring stability while refactoring to align with long-term vision.
• Partner with the CTO and Head of Data to align architecture with business and data strategies.
• Stay hands-on: write code, review designs, and guide architectural decisions.
• Build and mentor a high-performing dev team with strong coding standards.
• Collaborate with PMs, Analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact tools.
