Job summary

National Council on Aging (NCOA) is seeking a Senior Director, Development to architect and lead all non-federal revenue functions, including corporate partnerships, private foundations, and individual giving. The role reports to the Chief Development Officer and drives sustainable revenue growth through innovative fundraising strategies.

The candidate will guide a high-performing team, ensure CRM integrity, and align fundraising with organizational mission and equity goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive nonprofit development experience.
• Experience leading multi-channel fundraising programs.
• Proven ability to scale and lead high-performing fundraising teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the strategic direction of the full development portfolio.
• Oversee a robust fundraising pipeline across channels.
• Set annual revenue goals with the leadership team.
• Lead recruitment and development of the development staff.
• Provide strategic oversight of federal funding relationships and compliance.
• Coordinate with Brand, Marketing & Revenue for aligned storytelling.
