Job Summary:
The Design/Construction, Senior Director is primarily accountable for the planning through construction of the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. This position will also support the delivery of other major medical center projects in the Kaiser Permanente portfolio, especially during extended Entitlement periods. Responsibilities include communication and coordination of continuous improvement concepts and innovations.
The senior director oversees all phases of design and/or construction of highly complex projects, generally exceeding $300 million in total budget. This includes defining project parameters, managing project teams, establishing standards, and ensuring KP goals for client service are met throughout the process.
This role involves directing all design stages of medical and regional facilities, including economic analysis, development scheme comparisons, and negotiations with authorities and contractors. It also requires overseeing on-site teams and communicating project status to KP leadership.
