This is a fully remote opportunity for a creative and strategic design leader to shape the future of commerce technology. As Design Director, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team across UX/UI, brand, marketing, and product design to deliver seamless user experiences and impactful visual identities. You'll operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, combining big-picture thinking with strong design execution. Accountabilities:

1. Define and own the end-to-end design strategy across product, brand, marketing, and web
2. Lead, mentor, and scale a global, multidisciplinary team of designers
3. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align design goals with business objectives
4. Champion user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
5. Establish scalable design systems that enhance consistency and efficiency
6. Drive high-quality execution through prototyping, testing, and iteration
7. Present and advocate for design concepts at the executive level
8. Maintain hands-on involvement to ensure design excellence and alignment

Requirements

1. 10+ years of experience in UX or product design with a track record of delivering exceptional digital experiences
2. Minimum 3 years in a leadership role, managing and developing design teams
3. Strong portfolio showcasing strategic impact and hands-on design execution
4. Deep experience in Figma and other modern design/prototyping tools
5. Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
6. Strong systems thinking, user-centric mindset, and understanding of business impact
7. Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first environments
8. A passion for solving real problems with elegant, user-focused design
