Job summary

Chatham Financial is seeking a Director of Debt Valuation to lead delivery of fair value analyses for complex debt instruments for institutional clients. You will apply valuation methodologies to varied debt structures, interpret agreements and financial statements, and build robust valuation models.

You will serve as a primary contact with auditors and senior client stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, well-supported conclusions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in valuation or related field.
• Deep knowledge of valuation methodologies and principles.
• Experience with client engagements and auditors.
• Advanced Excel modeling including DCF and scenarios.
• Experience interpreting loan agreements and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of fair value analyses for complex debt instruments from scoping to final deliverable.
• Apply valuation methodologies to diverse debt structures and justify assumptions.
• Interpret loan agreements and financial statements to identify inputs affecting value.
• Build and review valuation models reflecting current market conditions.
• Serve as primary contact with auditors and support ASC 820 disclosures.
• Manage relationships with senior client stakeholders and present conclusions.
