Hybrid / Chicago Office

This role supports the PartsTrader business, an independently managed business aligned under Enlyte. PartsTrader is a growing SaaS marketplace business looking for a leader to transform data from a reporting function into a strategic business asset.

Building on an established Data Solutions team and strong foundations already in place, you'll lead the next phase of our data journey, helping the business leverage data to improve decision-making, enable AI and automation, create customer value, and unlock new growth opportunities.

This is a business transformation role, not a traditional data engineering or analytics leadership position. Success will come from setting vision, influencing change, building capability, and ensuring data investments deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Priorities
  • Define and execute the enterprise data strategy.
  • Move the business from reactive reporting to self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish foundations for AI, automation, and advanced analytics.
  • Improve data governance, quality, stewardship, and trust.
  • Identify opportunities to commercialize and monetize data assets.
  • Create clear prioritization and operating models for data initiatives.
  • Influence executive decisions and investment priorities.
  • Lead and develop a distributed Data & Analytics team across the US and New Zealand.
What Success Looks Like
  • Data is trusted, accessible, and actively used across the business.
  • Reliance on ad hoc reporting is reduced through self-service capabilities.
  • AI and automation initiatives are enabled by strong data foundations.
  • Clear governance and ownership improve data quality and consistency.
  • Data products and insights create measurable customer and business value.
  • Revenue and growth opportunities from data assets are identified and progressed.
  • The Data & Analytics function is viewed as a strategic business partner.
Qualifications

You are a strategic, commercially minded leader who has successfully transformed how organizations use data.

What We're Looking For

You bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in data strategy, analytics, business intelligence, digital transformation, product intelligence, or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven success leading enterprise data strategy and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data investments into business growth, customer value, and competitive advantage.
  • Experience identifying and delivering value from data through monetization, data products, insights, or new business opportunities.
  • Track record establishing data governance, operating models, and scalable practices that improve trust, accessibility, and adoption of data.
  • Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams through periods of growth and change.
  • Ability to influence executives, align stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
  • Sufficient technical depth to partner effectively with engineering and analytics teams while maintaining a focus on business outcomes.
  • Experience enabling AI, automation, advanced analytics, and data-driven products or services

Benefits eligibility may differ depending on full-time or part-time status. Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $175,700 - $220,000 annually, plus additional bonus opportunity, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.

The Company is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, status as a protected veteran, among other things, or status as a qualified individual with disability.

Don't meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and underrepresented minorities are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
