Job summary

Omnicom Media is seeking a Senior Director of Data Management & Visualization to ensure timely, accurate data for decision-making across agency and client teams. You will lead a team, govern analytics initiatives, and advance AI-ready data platforms across the Omnicom agency network.

The role is hybrid, with in-office collaboration three days per week and remote work on others, and focuses on data quality, semantic layering, and scalable reporting.

Team Overview:

With Omni adopted as Omnicom’s marketing insights and data platform, the holding company is consolidating its capabilities and sharing data across the organization. This enables more effective, faster, and smarter decision‑making for clients. Annalect established its Data Management and Visualization (DM&V) team to support these efforts, focusing on standardizing data quality, improving data operations, and integrating reporting into Omni. The DM&V team is in an exciting growth phase, scaling its capabilities to meet increasing demand across Omnicom’s agency network.

Position Overview:

The Senior Director, Data Management & Visualization, will ensure that our agency and client teams have access to timely, accurate, and reliable data they can use to make critical business decisions quickly by focusing on the following competencies:

  • Metadata creation, semantic layering, and AI‑enablement
  • Data curation, reporting, and visualization
  • Media, advertising, and marketing industry expertise
  • Process development, project management, and delivery
  • Account, stakeholder, and relationship management
  • Business outcome ownership, goal alignment, and team development
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize workflows, systems, and tools to streamline processes, improve onboarding for new advertisers, partners, and vendors, and ensure consistent, scalable operations across agency and client teams.
  • Lead organizational design and team strategy by defining team structures and roles, aligning priorities with agency and client goals, managing budget and resource allocation, and overseeing vendor relationships to maximize team performance and impact.
  • Hire, develop, and manage a high‑performing team of direct reports through active mentorship, clear performance expectations, and a culture of continuous learning and accountability in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
  • Oversee the design and governance of key analytics initiatives , including the development of taxonomies, naming conventions, data quality standards, and compliance monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across all data sources.
  • Build and advance DM&V capabilities across data operations, process automation, campaign reporting and dashboard visualization, driving adoption of scalable, AI‑enabled solutions that support data‑driven decision‑making across Omnicom’s agency network.
  • Drive innovation in analytics and data infrastructure by developing modern metrics frameworks, applying semantic layering, creating AI‑ready datasets, and enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI applications.
  • Manage the delivery of centralized reporting environments and intuitive data solutions — including on‑demand campaign reports and self‑serve dashboards — to support global rollouts, platform adoption, and consistent agency‑wide access to reliable data.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for agency leadership and key stakeholders , representing DM&V capabilities in strategic conversations, business reviews, and capability presentations, while influencing cross‑functional groups and fostering strong internal and external partnerships.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS/BA or MS in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing science, advertising analytics, marketing operations, business intelligence, or data engineering, ideally in a media, agency, or client environment, including 3–5 years in a leadership role overseeing cross‑functional teams, with client‑facing or agency‑side experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), familiarity with generative AI tools and platforms (e.g., Google Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot), and experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) is required. Experience with JIRA is preferred.
  • Proficiency with programmatic buying platforms and advertising technology tools is required. Experience with DSPs, ad verification, or ad servers is preferred.
  • Proficiency with data transformation and data quality tools is required. Experience with dbt, Alteryx, or Azure Data Factory is preferred.
  • Expertise in business intelligence technologies; direct experience with Power BI or Tableau is required. Experience with Highcharts or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (f/k/a Datorama) is preferred.
  • Experience with programming and query languages for business intelligence, including proficiency in SQL, is required. Familiarity with Python or DAX is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or supporting activation, direct response, digital investment, managed services, or in‑house media teams is required.
  • Proven track record of building, managing, and mentoring high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment. Experience driving organizational change, platform adoption, or large‑scale data transformations is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; experienced in engaging with diverse teams and leadership and in influencing cross‑functional groups without authority. Experience collaborating with offshore, technology, operations, vendors, and agencies is required.
Compensation Range:

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job‑related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. $126,000—$180,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in‑office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in‑office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in‑office days based on business needs.
