Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Atlanta is seeking a senior AI/data architect to direct the development and deployment of AI models and data architectures, improving accuracy, efficiency, and resilience. You will lead multiple AI and data teams and enforce governance standards aligned with organizational goals.

A strong background in data governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management is required to drive scalable AI solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/DS/AI or related field.
• Minimum 12 years in AI and data with management responsibilities.
• Proven experience delivering AI and data-driven solutions at scale.
• Strong knowledge of AI models, data architectures, and analytics methodologies.

• Manages multiple AI and data teams led by mid- to upper-level Management.
• Develops and enforces AI and data governance standards aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Recommends operational plans and strategies with short- to mid-term (0-3 years) impact on job area results.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to identify real-world problems and apply AI and analytics for actionable insights.

Works across AI & Data to understand the needs of those platforms and properly integrates them into our Data Architectures and Data Governance processes. Responsible for improving system accuracy, efficiency, and resilience, while managing multiple teams and enforcing governance standards aligned with organizational goals. Drives innovation through cross-functional collaboration, experimentation, and strategic planning, ensuring our Data Platforms and solutions address real-world challenges, manage risks, and deliver measurable business impact.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in AI and data with progressive management responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering AI and data-driven solutions at scale.
• Strong knowledge of AI models, data architectures, and analytics methodologies.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in AI and data technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification or any other cloud provider certifications.
• Expertise in solution designs based upon business requirements.
