You’ll champion a data engineering identity, set SLAs, and scale org capacity, building a best-in-class platform for humans and AI agents to access trusted data.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or data platform roles, incl. 5+ years in director-level leadership.
• Proven track record scaling data platforms (ingestion, warehousing, semantic/metrics layers) at SaaS scale.
• Experience leading through organizational change and cross-team integrations.
• Strong collaboration with Data Science/Analytics leadership.
• Hiring, developing, and retaining engineering managers and senior ICs.
• Excellent ability to communicate strategy to executives.
• Related technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Architect data layers, APIs, MCP servers, and semantic interfaces for AI agents.
• Evolve the semantic layer and metrics definitions with governance.
• Build real-time data products and low-latency retrieval.
• Lead data MCP strategy and enterprise data exposure to AI agents.
• Unify roadmaps across infrastructure and data governance.
• Drive data freshness SLAs and cost optimization.
