Ladders is seeking a Senior Director, Credit Risk to lead a critical underwriting function within a growth-focused Finance & Insurance leadership team. You will shape underwriting strategy, strengthen portfolio performance, and scale credit decisioning across consumer and commercial offerings.

You will partner with product and executive stakeholders, build durable risk frameworks, and mentor a high-performing team in a fast-moving, remote US-based environment.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of credit underwriting experience at major banks
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, or related field; PhD preferred
• Strong Excel and SQL skills; programming experience in R or Python
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging with senior executives and partners

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Credit Risk to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will own a critical credit risk function at the center of the organization’s growth, with responsibility for shaping underwriting strategy and strengthening portfolio performance. The role will partner closely with product and executive stakeholders to scale credit decisioning, refine policies, and support a diverse set of consumer and commercial credit offerings. It is well suited for a senior credit leader who can combine quantitative rigor with business judgment to build durable risk frameworks in a fast-moving environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $194,100 – $285,400 annually.
