Job summary

5C Data Centers designs and builds hyperscale data centers across the U.S. We seek a Senior Director, Cost Control to lead cost management across development, pre-construction, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout.

The role partners with VP, Project Controls + Cost to establish cost standards, budgets and forecasts, quantify risk and deliver timely cost insight. Reporting to the VP, this senior leader will drive governance, data quality, and cost discipline across multiple

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction cost control, cost engineering or commercial cost management with leadership experience.
• Strong ability to reconcile cost with schedule, progress and financial records.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities is highly preferred.
• Advanced technical cost skills across budgets, ETC/EAC, variance, contingency and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Establish cost control operating model, policies and reporting cadence within the VP's framework.
• Lead cost baseline development, budgeting, and funding with cross-functional partners.
• Maintain cost capture for commitments, forecasts, accruals and closeout with project controls and finance.
• Own cost change control, pricing and commercial exposure, including documentation and approvals.
• Drive payment validation, cost-to-progress reconciliation and variance analysis for portfolios.
