This role provides strategic leadership over corporate accounting, oil and gas property accounting, financial reporting and internal controls, while partnering across the organization to support growth and initiative execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• CPA or CFA certification required.
• 12 years related work experience.
• 2–5 years supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee oil and gas property accounting and fixed asset accounting, including capex, retirements, depletion, and reporting.
• Direct the preparation and review of internal, external, and SEC financial reporting.
• Evaluate complex transactions and prepare accounting memoranda supporting key conclusions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate accounting implications of business initiatives.
• Provide leadership over the internal control environment and monitor controls over financial reporting.
• Lead interactions with external auditors and support Audit Committee reporting requirements.
• Drive process improvements, ERP enhancements, and data quality initiatives.
• Support acquisitions, integration, restructuring, and other strategic projects.
