Sr. Manager/Director of Accounting (Confidential Search)

• Location: Washington DC


• Schedule: Hybrid office schedule


• Compensation: 120,000-140,000

TalentSource360 is running a confidential search for a Sr. Manager or Director of Accounting for a growing, privately held services company. The company has multiple entities and locations, and they all roll up into one shared corporate accounting function. This person will lead that function, own the close process, and give senior leaders accurate, timely financial reporting.

This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership and a real chance to shape how the accounting function grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full cycle accounting across all entities and locations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany activity


• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, making sure it is accurate, timely, and properly consolidated


• Prepare and deliver financial statements, management reports, and analysis to senior leadership


• Lead the annual budgeting process with operations and leadership teams, and track performance against the budget during the year


• Lead ad hoc financial projects and analysis that support strategic decisions


• Lead new system implementations and enhancements, finding ways to improve processes, automate work, and strengthen reporting


• Build and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures across the shared accounting function


• Coordinate with outside auditors and tax advisors on audits, reviews, and filings


• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• 5+ years of corporate accounting experience in a services-based industry or organization


• CPA or CPA eligible preferred


• Experience leading the close for multi-entity or multi-location organizations, including consolidations and intercompany accounting


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting


• Hands-on experience implementing or enhancing accounting and ERP systems


• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis


• Proven ability to lead and develop a team


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to senior leaders
