WKAR seeks a Senior Director of Content & Education to lead the organization’s content portfolio across television, radio, digital news, and education. You will align editorial priorities with WKAR’s mission, supervise department heads, and drive strategic planning and resource allocation for multiplatform delivery.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, strong partnership-building, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams toward innovative public-service content and audience

Formación

• Four-year degree in a communication or media production-related field.
• Five to eight years of experience in content strategy and leadership.
• Experience with television/radio production, digital media, and community partnerships.
• Experience supervising teams and collaborating across departments.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership for WKAR’s content operations across TV, radio, digital news, and education.
• Lead department heads and content professionals; foster inclusive, collaborative work culture.
• Set content vision and priorities; align budgets, staff, and resources with goals.
• Direct portfolio planning across platforms; manage schedules, budgets, and success metrics.
• Oversee editorial/creative standards, accessibility, and audience impact.
• Collaborate with university partners, development, communications, and external stakeholders.
