Job summary

WEWS, The E.W. Scripps Company ABC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Senior Manager, Community Connections to serve as the primary bridge to the communities we serve.

This role builds trust, forges partnerships, and ensures the station remains a credible voice in Northeast Ohio. You’ll lead community engagement priorities, coordinate forums and public-service initiatives, and collaborate with News, Sales, Marketing, and leadership to create meaningful opportunities that strengthen

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement or related fields.
• Proven ability to build relationships with civic, nonprofit, and government organizations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to understand issues and opportunities.
• Gather, analyze, and share community insights with station leadership and partners.
• Partner with News to identify story opportunities and connect journalists with sources.
• Serve as primary community liaison with civic, nonprofit, business, educational, and government groups.
• Lead planning and execution of forums, town halls, and public-service initiatives.
