The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Sr. Manager, Community Connections for WKBW in Buffalo to bridge newsroom and community voices. You will cultivate trusted partnerships across civic, nonprofit, business, educational, and government sectors, turning insights into impactful journalism and events.

You will drive a market-wide engagement strategy, advise leadership on community needs, and coordinate cross-functional teams to strengthen local trust and impact.

Formación

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, journalism, nonprofit leadership, communications, public affairs, partnership development, government relations, or related fields.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving history and insurance proof.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to understand emerging issues and opportunities.
• Gather, analyze, and communicate community insights to inform decision-making and coverage.
• Partner with News to identify story opportunities and support audience engagement across community channels.
• Serve as the station's primary community liaison across civic, nonprofit, business, educational, and government organizations.
• Lead planning and execution of forums, town halls, and public-service initiatives.
• Oversee event logistics, stakeholder coordination, and measurement of engagement impact.
