Job summary

Learfield IMG College is seeking a seasoned Commercial Partnerships Director to accelerate sponsorship sales across major properties, including naming rights, jersey patches, and premium inventory. You will lead data-driven prospecting and collaborate with university partners to secure high-value deals.

The role demands a consultative approach, strategic guidance throughout the sales cycle, and the ability to create customized solutions that deliver measurable revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in business development, sponsorships, or partnerships within sports, media, or entertainment.
• Proven success securing high-value partnerships and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong understanding of collegiate athletics and campus branding.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work flexible hours to support university schedules.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sponsorship opportunities using data-driven prospecting tools.
• Develop and sell integrated marketing solutions across Learfield assets, including naming rights opportunities and other premium sponsorship assets.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with national and regional brands, negotiating and finalizing contracts with internal teams.
• Develop asset positioning, valuation, packaging, and commercialization strategies to maximize revenue and partner value.
• Coach field teams to strengthen prospecting, negotiation, and activation efforts.
• Represent Learfield at industry conferences, campus meetings, client presentations, and events.
• Travel regularly to meet with university stakeholders and advance strategic business development initiatives (30–50%).
