Job summary

MSD, located in Rahway, NJ, seeks a Senior Director, Clinical Science, Pulmonary Hypertension and Cardiovascular to provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across multiple studies and assets. You will guide development planning, standardize scientific practices, and influence portfolio decisions within a matrix environment.

The role requires deep therapeutic expertise in Pulmonary Hypertension and Cardiovascular disease, with oversight of study design, endpoints, and biomarker strategy,

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or healthcare degree required (e.g., PhD, PharmD), or equivalent, and 8+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, and/or medical field experience preferred.
• Master’s degree, preferably in life sciences, and 12+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, and/or medical field experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in life sciences, and 15+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, and/or medical field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across multiple studies and assets.
• Standardize Clinical Science approaches and data review practices.
• Lead cross-functional governance and portfolio discussions.
• Develop and mentor Clinical Scientists in a matrix environment.
• Collaborate with regulatory, biostatistics, medical affairs and operations.
