Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Senior Director of Clinical Science for Pulmonary Hypertension and Cardiovascular diseases. You will shape disease area strategy, guide multiple studies and assets, and lead standardization of Clinical Science practices across the portfolio.

You will collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Translational Medicine, Medical Affairs, and other partners, driving data-driven decisions and high-quality scientific input. Hybrid work in the US is offered.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or healthcare degree required (PhD/PharmD) or equivalent, and 8+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, and/or medical field experience.
• Master’s degree, preferably in life sciences, and 12+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, and/or medical field experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in life sciences, and 15+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, and/or medical field experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across the disease area, including multiple studies, programs, and assets.
• Contribute to disease area strategy by supplying Clinical Science input on development opportunities and risks.
• Lead efforts to standardize Clinical Science approaches and ensure data interpretation consistency across studies.
