Job summary

Oakland Community Health Network seeks a Deputy Director of Clinical Practices to lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and advancement of clinical best practices across the provider network, ensuring high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services.

The role oversees clinical teams, applies evidence-based standards, drives quality improvement, and collaborates with partners to meet regulatory and contract requirements while advancing organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
• State of Michigan licensure as a Psychologist (LLP), Social Worker (LMSW), or Counselor (LPC).
• Minimum of five years of relevant clinical experience.
• Leadership or director-level experience preferred.
• Experience with PIHP/CMHSP, Medicaid managed care, and behavioral health administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical best-practice initiatives and support utilization management.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical policies, protocols, and quality improvement activities.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development for assigned clinical leaders and staff.
• Operational and clinical oversight for teams including Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants and Assessment Center Team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support clinical training, workforce development, and practice improvement.
• Analyze clinical, quality, and utilization data to identify trends and guide decisions.
• Co-lead sentinel event reviews and contribute to credentialing, quality, and compliance.
• Resolve clinical provider and system-level issues within assigned scope.
