Job summary

Manifold Bio seeks a Senior Director of Biotherapeutics to guide discovery, characterization, and production of shuttled therapeutics. You will lead biotherapeutics teams, shape development strategy, and oversee CDMOs to optimize processes for clinical trials.

As a member of the leadership team, you will drive strategy, establish developability criteria, and collaborate across AI/design, pharmacology, and outsourcing partners to accelerate programs and deliver best-in-class molecules.

Qualifications

• Extensive biotherapeutics experience across multiple protein modalities.
• Proven antibody engineering track record for clinical programs.
• Deep knowledge of protein engineering approaches and developability.
• Experience with expression systems, purification, and characterization.
• Liaising with CDMOs for manufacturing and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor internal biotherapeutics scientists and engineers.
• Oversee IND-enabling studies and resource planning for programs.
• Collaborate with external CDMOs/CROs to accelerate development.
• Define developability criteria and early de-risking strategies.
• Prepare data packages for partnering discussions and investor updates.
