Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Director, Biospecimen Management to lead a global biospecimen program within the Consent, Biospecimen & Imaging organization, driving strategy, process excellence and trial-wide quality. This role oversees distributed teams across sites and vendors to ensure timely biospecimen delivery across protocols.

You will partner with senior leaders, apply GCP/ICH standards, and advance IT-enabled tracking and reconciliation while upholding regulatory and ethical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline (required)
• 10+ years global experience in clinical drug development with biospecimen management experience
• 7+ years leadership experience managing global, cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Biospecimen Management team with accountability for performance and growth
• Oversee biospecimen management leads supporting trials across therapeutic areas
• Demonstrate leadership across large, distributed on-site and remote teams
• Champion team dynamics and cross-functional collaboration in a collaborative environment
• Drive high-quality biospecimen management across the full clinical trial portfolio
• Act as escalation point for study- and portfolio-level biospecimen risks/issues
• Define, track, and report KPIs for capacity and operational effectiveness
• Partner with ED and CBI leadership on strategic planning and service development
• Lead cross-functional efforts to innovate biospecimen operations at scale
• Manage relationships with biospecimen management vendors and audits
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory guidance and ethical guidelines
• Apply scientific knowledge to optimize biospecimen processing
• Ensure resource planning and portfolio management for 100+ studies
