Job summary

Corgi is building the next generation of financial institutions and is seeking an exceptional operator to lead the operational side of Employee Benefits and Traditional Life Insurance.

You will own the end-to-end operations and partner across underwriting, sales, product, finance, compliance, carriers, brokers, and technology to ensure quotes, enrollment, policy issuance, billing, servicing, and claims run smoothly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in insurance operations or related fields.
• Proven ability to build and improve end-to-end processes.
• Experience with carriers, brokers, and TPAs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Own operations end-to-end for employee benefits and life insurance.
• Improve workflows for quoting, enrollment, underwriting, billing, servicing, and claims.
• Collaborate with carriers, reinsurers, TPAs, brokers, and admins.
• Build operating infrastructure to launch new products.
• Identify and replace manual, fragmented processes with scalable automation.
• Translate operational workflows into software with product and engineering.
• Establish SLAs, quality standards, reporting.
• Handle escalations across silos.
• Develop policies for eligibility, enrollment, changes, billing issues.
• Work with underwriting and actuarial to align processes with risk.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Build relationships with carriers and distribution partners.
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and improvements.
• Grow the team and structure as the business scales.
• Eventually manage a team day-to-day.
