Job summary

Massport seeks a Deputy Director Aviation Security Operations to lead regulatory compliance and security programs at BOS and across our operations, balancing risk with operational needs while guiding high-performing teams in a 24/7 environment.

You will partner with regulators, law enforcement, airlines, and airport tenants to strengthen security posture through data-driven decisions, innovation, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security management or related field; equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• 10 years in security, public safety, or aviation operations with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of aviation security regulations (TSA, FAA, ICAO).

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex aviation security requirements and advise on strategic compliance.
• Identify vulnerabilities and develop practical security enhancements.
• Build credibility with executives, regulators, law enforcement, and industry partners.
• Lead teams in a 24/7 environment with data-driven decision making.
