Job summary

ThredUp, a leading online resale platform, seeks a Senior Director, Assistant Controller to shape the financial foundation as a publicly traded company. You’ll oversee global close processes, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and strengthen internal controls while guiding a growing accounting team.

You’ll partner with the CFO, FP&A, Legal, and operations to drive strategic financial decisions and audit readiness in a fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• CPA license and CPA-relevant education.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX.
• Experience leading global accounting teams and close processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee global month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Manage financial reporting, balance sheet governance, and internal controls.
• Lead external audits and regulatory relationships.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders on strategic financial direction.
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
