Job summary

ThredUp is seeking an early-career Corporate Communications Manager to shape and execute our corporate comms strategy with an AI-native mindset. You’ll report to the Chief Strategy Officer and work with senior stakeholders to grow into a strategic communicator.

Responsibilities include drafting pitches, coordinating earnings materials, and coordinating press opportunities while leveraging Claude and ChatGPT to improve outputs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in corporate communications, PR, journalism or related field.
• Experience with consumer brands and agency or in-house env.
• Proven storytelling ability with quick, clear angles.
• Fluency with generative AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for research, writing, analysis, workflows.
• AI-native mindset to rethink corporate comms as tech evolves.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Discretion with confidential/executive information.
• Scrappy, resourceful, and able to move work forward without a detailed playbook.
• Strong organizational skills managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Collaborative and coachable with openness to feedback.
• Curiosity about media, retail, sustainability, tech, and circular economy.

Responsibilities

• Use AI tools to research, draft, edit, analyze, monitor media, and streamline workflows.
• Develop and execute corporate communications plans tied to business updates and launches.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual earnings materials and communications.
• Draft press pitches and briefing documents; identify reporters and outlets.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends; flag opportunities.
• Prepare executives for interviews, opportunities, and thought leadership.
• Manage inbound media inquiries and draft initial responses.
• Support the Resale Report through research and coordination.
• Coordinate corporate events and marketing activations related to Resale-as-a-Service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on announcements, policy, ESG, and partnerships.
