Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Director of Analog Design to lead a small team crafting critical analog IP for SoCs. You will merge hands-on technical depth with people leadership, guiding delivery from architecture through production release while coordinating with digital, verification, and packaging teams.

You will drive low-power design strategies, establish rigorous signoff practices, and shape roadmaps by translating business needs into analog capability plans and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of analog IC design experience, including CMOS SoCs.
• Experience leading a small analog design team and delivering complex products.
• Hands-on depth in oscillators, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, references, regulators, and power management.
• Experience with analog/digital interfaces, mixed-signal verification, and top-level SoC integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small analog design team, setting priorities and coaching engineers.
• Own delivery of analog/mixed-signal IP from architecture to production release.
• Design key SoC functions: oscillators, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, clocking, and power-management blocks.
• Drive system-level architecture, balancing performance, power, area, and cost.
• Establish robust design and review practices across modeling, layout, and signoff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces and silicon bring-up plans.
• Lead low-power design strategies including power gating and wake-up behavior.
• Manage multiple IP/SoC programs with risk assessment and milestone tracking.
• Foster IP reuse, scalable architectures, and improved verification approaches.
• Support silicon validation and root-cause analysis for production issues.
