Job summary

Florida State University is seeking a development officer to advance alumni engagement across the campus. This role is centered on creating and executing a comprehensive alumni engagement plan that supports fundraising priorities and strengthens connections with students, alumni, donors, parents and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience.
• A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain upon hire.
• Experience in advancement, alumni programming, or donor relations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage an alumni engagement plan aligned with fundraising priorities.
• Lead college-wide alumni activities, mentorship, and events with in-person and virtual formats.
• Collaborate with Graduate School, International Programs, and donor relations teams.
• Extract and analyze alumni data to drive engagement strategies and reporting.
• Assist with budget, staffing, and volunteer leadership opportunities.
