Job summary

Progressive Leasing is seeking a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead FP&A for Purchasing Power. This build-and-transform role partners with senior leadership to modernize planning, forecasting, and decision support in a data-driven, AI-enabled finance function.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and modeling across merchandising, operations, technology, and servicing, owning unit economics, margins, and dashboards, while developing a scalable FP&A team.

Qualifications

• 10 years of FP&A, operational finance, or related roles.
• Retail experience with understanding of unit economics, margins, merchandising, and customer cohort performance.
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence operational decisions.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities with link to operational drivers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data to executives.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Workday is important.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with SQL/Tableau/Power BI/Snowflake valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting with emphasis on operational alignment and execution.
• Serve as the financial partner to leaders across merchandising, operations, technology, and servicing, providing real-time insight and decision support.
• Drive visibility into unit economics, customer and cohort behavior, margins, and KPIs, translating insights into actions.
• Build and modernize forecasting models, operational reporting, and dashboards tied to business drivers.
• Lead adoption of AI and automation across FP&A to streamline recurring work and enable higher-value analysis.
• Set the vision for an AI-forward finance function with practical workflows and tool evaluation.
• Support scenario planning and investment analysis for senior leaders to weigh trade-offs.
• Partner with Accounting and central PROG finance teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Build scalable, right-sized FP&A processes for a growing business.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
