Job summary

Capital One National Association seeks a Sr. Director, Tech HR Business Partner to lead strategic talent initiatives for the AI/ML organization within the Tech division.

You will shape the 2026 AI/ML talent architecture, build leadership across AI, ML, AI/ML Product, and collaborate with recruiting, compensation and HR to drive hiring for scarce AI engineering roles. The role requires strong relationship building, influence, and problem solving to align HR strategy with market trends and capital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 9 years of client facing experience OR at least 9 years of consulting experience OR a combination.
• At least 9 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience.
• MBA or Master’s Degree.
• Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification.
• 11+ years of client facing experience or 11+ years of consulting experience or a combination.
• 11+ years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting.

Responsibilities

• Consult with senior executives and HR partners to drive HR strategy and deliver a aligned plan.
• Lead executives in translating business strategy into a talent strategy that fosters inclusion and opportunity.
• Define talent strategy, workforce planning, succession planning and recruitment/retention strategies.
• Assess risks and leverage trends to guide strategic decisions and talent planning.
• Provide executive coaching on leadership, org design and strategy.
