Job Title: Senior Director, Advanced Analytics

Location: Newark, Delaware

Job Description:


The Senior Director, Advanced Analytics will oversee leading the design, creation, and execution of advanced machine learning (ML) models, statistical techniques, and segmentation methods to help achieve the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Advanced Analytics team to create and apply complex ML and statistical models that support business goals.
  • Set the strategy and give technical guidance on areas like statistical modeling, machine learning, prediction, and data analysis.
  • Work with teams across the company to understand big business problems, form hypotheses, and design the right statistical tests.
  • Use data analysis and modeling to find useful insights from large and complicated data sets, helping leaders make smarter decisions.
  • Keep up with new trends and technologies in the field and advise on how to use them to improve business results.
  • Manage and support a team of statisticians and data scientists; encourage ongoing learning and innovation.
  • Work with internal partners to define success metrics, check how well models perform, and make sure results are accurate and easy to understand.
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly to executives and others, helping guide important business decisions.
  • Coordinate with data and IT teams to make sure data used for modeling is available, accurate, and secure.
  • Lead the creation of best practices and standards for modeling, making the work consistent, scalable, and efficient.

Requirements:
  • Strong skills in statistical programming (like R or Python) and experience with tools like SAS.
  • Deep knowledge of advanced methods like regression, time series, clustering, and machine learning.
  • Proven experience building and using statistical models in real business settings, with results that positively impacted the company.
  • Strong ability to analyze problems, make sense of complex data, and turn it into clear insights.
  • Great communication skills—able to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical people.
  • Strong leadership—experience managing and developing successful teams.
  • Experience with big data tools and cloud analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding industry rules and regulations related to statistical modeling is helpful.

Preferred:
  • A master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Math, Data Science, or another quantitative field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in statistical modeling, data analysis, and predictive analytics, including in leadership roles.
