Job summary

Hilton Head Preparatory School, a thriving independent school on Hilton Head Island, seeks an experienced Director of Admissions and Financial Aid to lead enrollment strategy and aid optimization. The role oversees recruitment, admissions processing and equitable aid decisions, reporting to the Head of School.

With 5+ years in independent school admissions, you will manage a team and collaborate with the Business Office on endowment-driven aid initiatives, school outreach, and data-driven

Qualifications

• 5+ years in independent school admissions or enrollment management.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Blackbaud Enrollment Management software and Clarity Financial Aid is a plus.
• Excellent public speaking, writing and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to meet enrollment targets.
• Guide families through inquiries, campus visits, testing and interviews.
• Manage the financial aid budget, evaluate applications and allocate awards.
• Oversee communications for SC Educational Scholarship Trust Fund and coordinate with Business Office.
• Maintain enrollment data and analyze aid applications using Blackbaud and Clarity.
• Track trends, report to leadership and build partnerships with feeder schools and community organizations.
• Lead and mentor the admissions and enrollment staff.
