Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a growing organization to appoint a Senior Director, Accounting Shared Services responsible for leading a large AP/AR operation and driving automation and process improvements. The role requires strategic leadership, strong governance, and the ability to scale operations across the shared services function.

You will partner with Finance, IT, and business leaders to modernize systems, develop KPIs, and coach a large team of managers and directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/shared services leadership experience in a larger organization.
• Experience leading large AP/AR in a complex environment.
• Strong background in process improvement, automation, and operational excellence.
• Oracle ERP experience preferred; comfortable in modern and legacy systems.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or product-based industries is a plus.
• Strategic thinker who remains engaged in detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
• Drive automation, continuous improvement, and process transformation initiatives.
• Partner with Finance, IT, and business leaders to modernize systems and workflows.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics to improve performance and scalability.
• Lead, coach, and develop a large accounting operations team including senior leaders.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and operational effectiveness.
• Evaluate and improve processes; build a best-in-class shared services organization.
• Champion system enhancements, including Oracle-based solutions and legacy modernization.
