GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. in New Jersey seeks a Senior Procurement Lead for Direct Materials to lead the procurement team, drive end-to-end sourcing, and ensure SLA/KPI compliance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Based in Piscataway with four onsite days and remote Fridays, the role focuses on vendor management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing or planning of direct materials.
• Experience in biotech/pharma industries is preferred.
• Proven leadership and project management experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of direct materials and packaging materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead direct procurement team to meet SLA and KPI targets.
• Oversee material planning for direct materials and consumables.
• Manage strategic sourcing and procurement for production materials.
• Develop alternative suppliers for critical materials.
• Execute category management to identify cost savings.
• Negotiate contracts and MSAs with suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity.
• Prepare procurement documentation for audits.
