Job summary

UC Santa Cruz is seeking a Senior Food Service Manager to oversee the operational management of residential dining facilities, catering, bakery or retail locations on campus. Under general supervision, you will manage quality food production and service for students, faculty, staff and guests; train staff in service, safety and sanitation; and act as PIC when needed.

This is a full-time role with campus dining responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports service and/or production staff in the preparation and delivery of meals across dining facilities and catering events.
• Maintains excellent customer service and food quality by training and directing staff in merchandising, management, service, safety and sanitation standards.
• Ensures location cleanliness and a welcoming, safe environment; responds to guests' concerns and emergencies as needed.
