Job summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a Senior Dining Services Attendant to support the dining operations at the Tucson Campus. This role involves food preparation, customer service, and ensuring smooth daily operations for students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Responsibilities include inventory, opening/closing duties, training staff, and maintaining cost controls while delivering high-quality service in a dynamic campus environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inputs, receives, and puts away storeroom orders.
• Prepares unit for opening, stocking, signs, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Sets up Sequoia, retrieves banks, prepares market and food as needed.
• Monitors food quality and employee productivity.
• Ensures all areas are staffed; delegates job assignments.
• Trains employees in their duties and health codes.
• Rings up orders, accepts money, and returns correct change.
• Counts bank to verify accuracy.
• Enters totals on reports.
• Oversees weekly inventory and controls labor and food costs.
• Greets and serves customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
